TICKETS FOR TODAY WILL BE VALID FOR SATURDAY 27TH MARCH

 

With regret we have moved today’s performance to Saturday March 27th at 2pm. The “100% chance of rain” forecast cannot be wished away.

If you can’t make the 27th, there are very limited (2-4 seats only) available at the other performances. We will add seats where we can, but we must not exceed the COVID regulations in regard to proximity. It would be much better if you can arrange to come to the 27th March performance.

Of course, this is beyond our control. Scheduling outdoor events in Melbourne’s Summer is always a brave affair. While the Greeks enjoyed their out-of-doors amphitheatres, it didn’t take mankind long to understand that we needed to build theatres.

Thanks again for your support of Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Victoria. We looking forward to making up today’s disappointment to you on March 27th.

We would like to thank all who have contributed to keep GSOV going through 2020.

Many of you who purchased Subscription tickets to Season 2020 have rolled over your subscriptions for The Gondoliers and The Yeomen of the Guard, and we will be in touch to allocate your booking and offer subscription rates for our other performances.

Those who made Donations, or purchased a show, have provided much needed revenue in an otherwise bleak financial year.

We know that for many people in our community the arts play a critical role, particularly in times of great uncertainty. We remain committed to presenting the works of Gilbert & Sullivan and other composers and writers of light operative entertainment.
