Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady – Auditions
Directed and Choreographed by Robert Ray and Musical Direction by Timothy John Wilson. Assistant Director is Patrick Hill.
We are looking for Sopranos, Altos, Tenors and Baritones and Dancers for the Ensemble. Small roles and understudies will be cast from the Ensemble.
Performers who have worked with either Robert or Tim before, DO NOT need to audition, but need to submit an expression of interest. Some absences will be permitted during January due to Holidays etc. Please state your availability in your application. The audition piece can be a selection of your choice, and can be either from musical comedy, operetta or opera. Please bring a second copy of your music for the audition accompanist.
KEY DATES
Audition registration and expressions of interest deadline, 18 November
Auditions 21 and 22 November from 6:30pm at SPAAC
Tuesday and/or Thursday rehearsals start 3 January (7-10pm): Ensemble once a week; Principals and some Soloists may be needed on both evenings.
Sunday rehearsals (2-5pm): 29 January, 26 February, 5, 12 March
All rehearsals at SPAAC
Sitzprobe: 26 March, 6pm also at SPAAC
Then MFL bumps into the at the Alexander Theatre, Monash University for
Tech run: 28 March, 6pm
Dress rehearsal: 29 March, 7pm
5 Performances: 30, 31 March, 1, 2 April. Half hour calls are at 7:25pm and 1:25pm
Restaging rehearsal (tbc) 13 April, 7pm at SPAAC
Concert Performance (tbc) 15 April at Dunolly. Needed all day.
