Enjoy an idyllic afternoon recital under a 100 year old pin-oak tree in the garden of the historic Dandenong Hills home, The Knowe in Sassafras. Come and picnic on the lawn beforehand, or enjoy a glass of bubbles inside the house. Garden and House open from 2pm, recital begins at 3pm.
Sir Arthur Sullivan wrote some of his loveliest music for operas with other librettists. Highlights from IVANHOE, HADDON HALL, THE ROSE OF PERSIA, THE EMERALD ISLE, THE BEAUTY STONE, THE CHIEFTAIN and THE CONTRABANDISTA will be performed by an ensemble of some of GSOV’s most talented singers. Come and hear the “loveliest melody Sullivan ever wrote”.
