Gala Theatre Night Fundraiser
** GSOV’s Gala Theatre Night **
The Diary of Anne Frank
A GSOV Fundraising Event on Thursday 8 August 2019, 8.00PM
Peridot Theatre Company has generously offered GSOV the opportunity to benefit from the Charity Night performance of their upcoming production, “The Diary of Anne Frank”, a drama by Frances Goodrich & Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesserman and directed by Kellie Tweeddale.
All proceeds of ticket sales to our members, friends and supporters go directly to GSOV!!
Two Jewish families are forced to hide from the Nazis in a secret annexe in Amsterdam. In her tiny room, Anne Frank keeps a diary, detailing the claustrophobic realities of daily existence experienced by the families. She also records her own coming of age, battling low spirits and loneliness, fighting with her mother, and falling in love for the first time. Despite her oppressive circumstances, her spirit shines through as she voices her belief that ‘people are really good at heart’.
