Auditions will be held on:

Sunday August 2nd (2pm-6pm) and  Tuesday August 4th (7pm-9:30pm) with Callbacks (if required) provisionally Saturday August 8th (2pm-5pm) at SPAAC, 20 McCracken Avenue, Blackburn South

To register for an audition timeslot, please fill out the form below and include the name of each character for whom you wish to audition.

The Auditions Coordinator will respond to confirm a time and date with you.

There are 15 roles available, including understudies. All roles cover multiple characters, or include ensemble singing. No roles have been pre-cast.

There are no expectations about physical attributes, age (but we cannot consider people under 15 years old), or performing experience. Any London or England accent is preferred for all roles (except as noted for Cheapside Jackie) but not required.

You should prepare the songs and texts listed beside the character in this document (google drive link).

Where you are asked to perform a suitable song that shows your vocal style and quality, you must bring a copy of the music for the Accompanist. No pre-recorded audio backing tracks will be accepted.

You do not need to memorize the texts. A reader will speak any lines by other characters.

We will accept video auditions. If you wish to submit a video, please email your request so we can agree on how best to achieve this.

Rehearsal dates:

The rehearsal venue is SPAAC, 20 McCracken Avenue, Blackburn South

Rehearsals run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7 – 9:30pm. They begin on Tuesday August 18.   Please arrive from 6.50pm for a 7pm start.

Sunday rehearsals are added from October (usually 2pm to 5pm).

Fees:

All performers pay a show fee to contribute towards costs ($100 or $80 concession).

All performers must be members of the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Victoria Inc ($20).
