There are additional places for chorus in our Season 2022 of The Yeomen of the Guard.

Auditions will be held on the 28th June from 6:30pm. We will allocate an audition time slot to you when we receive your application. Be prepared to stay and participate in the first rehearsal.

Auditions (and Rehearsals) are held at SPAAC, Cnr Hunter Dve and, McCracken Ave, Blackburn South VIC 3130

You can sing anything you like, preferably in English. Please bring copies of your music for our Accompanist.

As a general rule Chorus rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, Principals on Thursdays from 7.30 to 10.00 pm, and Sunday rehearsals (starting 17th July) are from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm dialogue for principals, and from 1.30 to 4.30 pm for full cast with music.

Blocking will commence from the first music rehearsal. Scores will be available to borrow, however the Gilbert and Sullivan Archives (https://www.gsarchive.net/yeomen/html/index.html) has links to Vocal Scores (Chappell VS preferred), including at IMSLP such as https://s9.imslp.org/files/imglnks/usimg/a/a7/IMSLP162131-PMLP45388-Sullivan_-_Yeomen_of_the_Guard_VS_IArchUNC.pdf as well as the libretto if you would like to read through the work.

Please check through all dates, times, and locations. Performances are published on the Yeomen webpage. Further discussions on transport and accommodation (where required) will be done at rehearsals.

We will be rehearsing and performing under the required Covid-19 Public Health Guidelines. We may also require you to provide a Working With Children Check card/Teacher accreditation if we have anyone under 18 in the cast (this can be applied for, at no cost, at the Post Office). Of course if you are unwell please stay at home.

It will be an intense, amazing, and fun adventure. We look forward to receiving your Audition Form, and welcoming you into the Production.
